JF Chocolat is the premier chocolate purveyor in the Charlotte region, and the inspiration of Justin Fry

After attending the Pastry Arts program at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, Colorado, he took a full time position at the historic Willard Hotel in Washington D.C. Here he served many dignitaries, politicians, celebrities, and high profile guests.

He then moved to Fort Myers, Florida to work for a famed chocolatier, where he could learn everything about chocolate. Working and learning from so many talented chefs, he was able to hone in the necessary skills and understanding to work with chocolate.

His passion was further cemented when he competed in his first national chocolate competition focused on bonbons and was named “Chocolatier of the Year” 2014 and also winning “Peoples Choice” award. In 2016, another competition took him to New York City competing in the US Pastry Competition where he was required to create a chocolate entrement, chocolate bonbons, plated dessert, and a chocolate and sugar showpiece. He placed first and was named “Pastry Chef of the Year”.
